Cassie came to Dos Mundos with the desire to level up her brand completely. From website to logo, to all-encompassing brand visuals, the team wanted to propel the DJ Cassandra brand + image into a new era.
The DJ Cassandra logo + soundwave and color scheme was heavily inspired by the MTV era of the 90s and 2000s. As a team, we discussed wanting the refined logo piece to be meaningful and vibrant, similar to the spirit of our client, and functional among many applications — all reminiscent of live music culture. The scratching of vinyl records and soundwaves gave fuel to the logo’s development. We utilized ‘What the world needs now’, a project spearheaded by DJ Cassandra, as a starting point for creating the soundwave brand ID element. As it is complementary to the logo, it can also be used as a stand-alone component.
Beyond turntables, Cassie Shankman works as a composer, producer, and educator. Beyond leading the user or client through a cleaned listing of Cassie’s offerings, we needed to make evident that live event DJing was only part of the picture. From there, ‘Sounds by Cassandra’ was born. From curated playlists to piano lessons, the brand messaging was scaled to speak to the full breadth of offerings and expertise.
With the birth of ‘Sounds by Cassandra’, our priorities turn to brand expansion and continued marketing consultation. Presentation and positioning are everything as we move into this second chapter of building both future content and evolve Cassie’s brand strategy.
Utlizing all of the elements defined in the previous stages, we created a website that was easy for Cassie to be able to update moving forward, that spoke to her cutting edge brand.
